14th July 2020
Dear Member,
We are delighted to announce that we will reopen the clubhouse this Friday 17 July. However, until further notice, the opening hours will be limited and strict social distancing measures will be in place.
We will be opening for paid up members only from 4pm until 10pm on Fridays, from 2pm until 10pm on Saturdays and from 2pm until 8pm on Sundays. Please be aware that you will not be allowed entry if you are not a paid up member.
We attach the Bar Rules and should be grateful if you would read them carefully. A representative of the club will be stationed at the entrance to explain the rules, the one way system and the toilets to you on arrival. We are not operating a booking system but should be grateful if you would stay for a sensible length of time so that we can accommodate as many members as possible when we are open. In this regard, we also ask that you sit outside whenever possible as the capacity inside our clubhouse has been reduced significantly.
Any breach of the Bar Rules will result in the member being asked to leave the club and our decision to reopen being reviewed.
We are also delighted to announce that cricket will be returning to the club this weekend as well. There will be an Under 30 v Over 30 practice match for the adults on Saturday and the Under 13s are playing against Bedminster on Sunday. All cricketers will be contacted by their captains and/or coaches to explain the current regulations of the ECB prior to each game.
You should not, of course, attend the club to either use the bar or play cricket if you or anyone in your family has any symptoms of the coronavirus.
We are grateful in anticipation of you abiding by the Bar Rules and regulations of the ECB and trust that you will sensibly enjoy the reopening of the clubhouse and the resumption of cricket.
Yours faithfully
The Executive Committee
